I’m far from an audio exert, and this was my first AV receiver, but I’m extremely happy with it. My music and movies sound amazing (hooked up to just two Polk monitor 40s right now). This seems to have plenty of hookup options and sound settings. Mini complaints: I don’t like that the front has a pop-off panel that covers up the ports to the USB/iPod hookup; that will be easy to lose, and I’ll probably never keep it covered (so I guess it’s OK if I lose it!). Also, I wish this had a standard auxiliary input on the front for non-iPod options (and there might be an alternative option for this that I’m not aware of). Overall very pleased with my purchase and would recommend.

sound quality was good until I ran the Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration system. Then It became superb (don’t skip running it)

this is a great receiver packed with features. although I consider to exchange it to the Pioneer VSX-1020-K Audio/Video Receiver for the upscaling and the ipod application.

UPDATE:

It stopped working, suddenly one day after 3 weeks it has no sound. I was planning to return it anyway but now they saved me the 25 dollars cost of shipping it back.

I reduce the score only to 3 stars because when it worked it plays beautifully.

UPDATE 2:

Today after hoking to same setup a Denon AVR-791 I understood what I was missing.

this product goes down to 2 stars. (We actually had some good moments together)

Average sound quality and died after 3 weeks.
